K.Palaniappa Memorial Educational Trust was found in May 1973 by his son late Mr. P. Arumugam and late Mrs. P. Nagarathinam. Its sole objective has been to provide sound education to the children of this locality.
The Trust made a humble beginning of its activities by starting KPM Primary School with I Std in June 1973 at Podanur. Now the school functions at Eachanari (Pre-KG-XII) with strength 900 students.
The school was given temporary recognition by the Director of School Education, Tamil Nadu during 1987. The Director later granted Permanent Recognition to the school from April 1999. The School was also made a center for State board SSLC Public Examination in April 1998.
Our School is one of the fifty-eight members of the Association of Matriculation Schools, Coimbatore.
The Higher Secondary courses started from the academic year 1999 -2000. The course has 7 groups (4-Science stream, 3-Arts stream).
